EML Tools

Convert EML to HTML

Turn a saved email into one .html file that opens in any browser, with the headers on top and the images built in.

Runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

How to use it

  1. Choose your .eml file.
  2. Check the preview. Load remote images if you want the page to show them too.
  3. Press “Download HTML” to save the page.

What the HTML file contains

The subject, sender, recipients and date sit in a header block at the top, followed by the message with its original formatting. Inline images are embedded in the file itself, so they still show offline or after you move the file.

Remote images, the ones loaded from the sender's server, are left out unless you press “Load images” before downloading. Attachments aren't part of the page; download them from the list under the preview.

Why convert an email to HTML?

An HTML file opens in any browser without a mail app, can be edited in a text or web editor, and can be published on a website or intranet. Word opens it as well, which is a quick way to turn an email into a document you can change.

FAQ

Is the HTML file safe to open?

Yes. It carries a content security policy that blocks scripts, and remote content too unless you chose to load images.

Can I turn the HTML back into an EML file?

Not with this tool. Keep the original .eml if you may need to import the message into a mail app again.

Is my email uploaded?

No. The HTML file is built by your browser on your device, and the email never reaches a server.
